Night‑shift machine operator performing cleaning, maintenance and material handling for CNC equipment.

Tasks

-Operate automatic sweeper -Follow all safety regulations associated and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) as required including half face respirators and PAPR (powered air purifying respirator) -Troubleshoot the operation of the equipment as it pertains to the machine department, as needed. -Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner, and apply 5-S program -Use broom, shovel, and compressed air to perform cleaning and service duties on machines and their components -Use compressed air and sand blasting equipment to perform cleaning and service duties of several CNCs, tapping and drilling machines in the machine department. -Follow cleaning schedules for all equipment -Work in various locations, including confined spaces, and at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes and procedures as required including but not limited to lockout/tagout -Move, stack and deliver materials manually and with a forklift/front-end loader, -Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties and clerical operations such as documentation of job, as required

What You Bring

-Ability to perform basic computer functions: eSafety, MESH Prism -High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution -Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout plant -Prior experience working a team environment -Ability to work with limited supervision -Ability to read, comprehend, and follow moderately technical standards, work instructions, schedules, and maintenance procedures -Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts) -Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours and to lift/carry up to 50 pounds -Understand and perform designed TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) functions as required -Forklift and frontend loader certified (powered industrial truck trained) -Prior experience working in manufacturing -Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
