Tasks
-Designs, develops, and delivers skills driven curriculum that meets participant needs and Gaylor’s objectives -Coaches skilled craft employees who function as trainers on effective implementation of developed curriculum -Continuously reviews existing educational practices and programs, especially as it relates to engagement and curriculum effectiveness -Research internal and external best practices and assists with recommendations for continuous improvements in education-related programs -Works collaboratively with operational leadership to plan and facilitate craft education delivery and the craft assessment program -Leads assessment of craft education and employee development needs for operations -Organizes and maintains schedules, agendas, and travel arrangements -Facilitates continual educational development activities that supports Gaylor career pathways -Organizes and prioritizes workload to meet deadlines -Identifies areas for improvement and provides recommendations -Plans and coordinates content delivery, administration, and logistics -Promotes the philosophy of Gaylor Core Values, inspires outside-the-box thinking and openness to effectively promote Gaylor’s culture -Evaluates effectiveness of craft education and apprenticeship programming -Facilitates the craft assessment and uses this information to design individual training needs

What You Bring
-Strong administrative, organization, and communication skills -Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (port-o-lets) -Ability to work while sitting or standing for long periods -Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times -Must have required hand tools at all times while at work site (waist tool belts can weigh up to 30 lbs.) -Ability to make transition from designated employee parking areas to construction areas and be able to gain access to all levels of building/structure, even if only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but deemed safe for use -Strong communication and presentation delivery skills -Must be computer literate and able to process documents in Microsoft Suite in addition to quickly learning Gaylor’s operating software -Must be able to wear personnel protective equipment (i.e., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility vest, safety harness, etc.) when required -Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime, as required, on short notice -Previous experience with training and/or education in the construction industry -Requires 50-75% travel -High level of electrical construction skills and experience -Ability to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance -Must be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situations -Must work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasks -Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead -Possess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected) -May require working in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) depending on job location and/or time of year -Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers -Ability to work while constantly moving on one's feet -Must be able to work in noisy environments -Apprenticeship completion or relevant craft electrician certification -High school diploma or equivalency
