Design and oversee electrical balance-of-plant systems for renewable projects.

Tasks
-Coordinating project engineering topics during construction -Ensure that the highest level of health, safety, and environmental protection is incorporated into designs and standards -Engineering project support during pre-construction, construction, and turnover to Operations -Specification and evaluation of major balance of plant electrical equipment -Support NERC Compliance documents and studies -Design of balance of plant packages from development to IFC -Management of 3rd party engineering consultants -Support the development of electrical engineering standards -Coordinating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts during the project lifecycle -Support the development of engineering processes and procedures

-Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable -Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds -Experience in renewable generation (wind turbine, solar PV, and BESS storage) project design is preferred -Advanced degrees can reduce technical experience requirements -Specific areas of experience and competency include transmission design, substation design, collection and distribution design, major equipment specification, power system studies, and system protection and control -Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships -Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts -Ability to multitask, while working independently and as part of a team -Minimum 5 years of professional experience (post undergraduate) in electrical engineering -Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams -Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space -Power system modeling and studies -Strong leadership, communication, and ability to meet deadlines -A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college engineering program -Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities -Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
