Overview

Assist foreman installing commercial fire sprinkler systems, handling tools and safety tasks.

Tasks

-Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch. -You will work with the Foreman on the job site to follow procedures, blueprints, and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes, and fittings. This includes connecting fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools. -Working outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons including summer months. -Very importantly, you will ensure systems are glued together properly and follow procedures to test the system for leaks. -Assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools. -Install Fire Sprinkler systems accurately, on schedule, and within budget. -Run lines and sprinkler heads straight and in accordance with plans, adjust hangers, etc.

What You Bring

-Ability to move up in the company (we promote from within!) -Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 70 pounds -Construction experience preferred but not required. -Must be able to wear proper protective equipment as required on all job sites. -Must possess the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. -Basic knowledge of hand tools -State-of-the-art technology and tools -Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening including 10 years of employment verification is required to be hired at Wayne Automatic. -Travel within the local community is required with reliable transportation.
