On-site safety officer overseeing health and safety compliance on construction projects.

Tasks
-Implement all proper safety and health policies onsite, discussing any issues with the project manager, contractor, and other safety professionals. -Establish and manage a jobsite safety culture in accordance with Gray’s safety program. -Confers with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within work force. -Serve as on-site Safety Officer for assigned -Mentor contractors to help assure compliance with Gray guidelines. -Monitor and inspect the job site for health and safety compliance, identifying any potential hazards that may result in injuries or accidents. -Review, evaluate and make determination on contractor site safety programs. -Maintain owner and Gray specified safety records. Assist in developing project specific site safety plans and an emergency response plan. -Assist in onboarding and mentoring of new site safety team members on your assigned project. -Provide health and safety training and information to all employees onsite to ensure that site safety requirements are being met at all times.

What You Bring
-NCSO and Advanced First Aid strongly -Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving -Must have ability to identify known potential exposures and lead implementation of corrective actions. -Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and -Possess leadership skills that helps cultivate a cohesive and successful team -Bachelor’s degree in occupational or environmental health and safety (or similar) and a minimum of 5 years of related construction safety experience or training OR a minimum of 5-10 years of related construction safety experience or training. -Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing. -Light/heavy industrial construction experience
