Overview

Lead architecture team to design and deliver lab facilities from concept to construction

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials -Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, civil consultants etc.for laboratory facilities and other project types -Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges -Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction -Develop architectural drawings and specifications to communicate planning concepts for project documentation and construction

What You Bring

-Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office -Experience working directly with senior management, scientists, laboratory managers and technicians, facilities and project managers, and other project stakeholders in determining and documenting programmatic requirements -Licensed or registered architect -LEED accreditation preferred; committed to the principles of sustainable design and resilient communities -12+ years of experience in Architecture inclusive of 5+ years of experience focused on programming and planning of all phases of a variety of laboratory types -Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture -Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
