Tasks

-Serve as the primary customer interface on technical topics. -Prepare and present technical data to both internal and external customers. -Support the development of documentation necessary for FAA certification and new product release. -Develop derived system requirements and implement monitoring and built-in test functions in hardware and software. -Coordinate with various engineering functions including digital and analog circuit design, mechanical design, component engineering, reliability, software design, and certification testing. -Execute the analysis, design, testing, and integration required to define and support assigned products or systems. -Provide engineering expertise in the maintenance and support of legacy products. -Participate in proposal efforts by deriving technical solutions, communicating, and documenting the technical approach for proposals. -Create, execute, and track project schedules and technical customer deliverables. -Utilize the DOORS requirements tracing tool and other resources to meet program milestones.

What You Bring

-MS or BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience in avionic system design and development. -Strong oral and written communication skills. -Experience with aircraft systems, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RTCA DO-178 / DO-254, DOORS, MIL-STD-461 / MIL-STD-810 / DO-160. -Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously. -Understanding of embedded software and/or hardware engineering. -FAA certification experience is a strong plus. -Excellent problem-solving skills. -Demonstrated ability to work on a team with other departments. -Knowledge of DOORS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. -Experience with brushless DC motors and/or third-party Apple accessories. -Demonstrated time management and project management skills.
