Tasks

This is an excellent opportunity to work hands-on with advanced motorway technology that keeps our roads safe, efficient, and reliable. Working closely with the Assistant Project Manager - Roadside Technology, you will ensure that all works are delivered safely, to high-quality standards, and in line with client expectations. The role involves travel to sites across the NH East contract and collaboration with internal teams and specialist subcontractors. -Complete accurate and timely reporting from all systems, achieving KPIs in line with annual objectives. -Work proactively to identify and implement operational improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of the team. -Support the Assistant Project Manager in planning and delivering projects, including assisting with budget, schedule, and quality requirements. -Supervise operational teams and subcontractors on site to meet productivity and quality targets. -Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing of roadside technology equipment. -Undertake software, hardware, and systems testing to ensure equipment functionality and reliability. -Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures, producing required documentation.

In this role, you will carry out installation, maintenance, and commissioning of roadside technology equipment, supporting the smooth operation of the highways network. -Full UK driving licence. -Proficient in basic computer applications (Word, Excel). -Familiarity with HERS registration and requirements. -Proven experience in installation or maintenance of electrical/electronic equipment. -ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. -Willingness to work in roadside environments, at heights, and during night shifts when required. -Strong understanding of roadside technology, including CCTV, ANPR, MIDAS, AMI, message signs, environmental sensors, traffic monitoring/control systems, electrical supplies, and networking (IP, LAN, WAN, Routing, etc.). -Professional and proactive approach in line with Ringway’s vision, values, and safety culture. -Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently. -Team player with strong communication and organisational skills. -Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
