Tasks

-Designing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans -Follow T5 data center corporate policies and procedures -Monitors and analyzes network load including traffic and utilization trends. -Identifying and mitigating potential security risks and vulnerabilities -Responding to security breaches and incidents and conducting thorough investigations into what occurred -Developing and enforcing the company’s security policies and procedures -Drafts checklists, processes, and support trees, and knowledge bases for help desk and other support staff. -Ensures networks are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data by developing and monitoring security procedures or collaborating with network security staff. -Performing regular audits to ensure that systems and networks are operating securely -Keeping up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and control measures -Managing user access control and authentication -Monitors the assigned network, ensuring optimal function and minimal downtime. -Duties may include lift or ladder access -Providing training and guidance to staff on information security best practices -Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards for information security -Implementing, maintaining and overseeing the security of networks, systems, and data -Setup and administration of Checkpoint firewalls

What You Bring

-Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems encryption, and identity management. -Fundamental understanding of network principles, required -Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux. -Familiar with inside plant cabling tools, power tools, ticketing systems, and escalation procedures, required -Relevant current IT certifications are a plus but not required. -Experience working for an MSP is nice to have but not required. -Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans. -Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. -Valid passport required -Must have the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, required -Experience with various storage technologies, including SAN and NAS from various vendors. -Hands-on experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate, FortiAP and FortiSwitch. -Able to work in a loud environment -Minimum 2 years’ previous experience working in complex high availability customer data center network environments, required -Owner-Operator Mindset -Battle-Tested Leadership Experience -Fortinet NSE4 is a plus but not required. -Understanding of data center infrastructure systems and typical requirements, required -Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix and XCP-NG. -Proven experience in Fortinet configurations and network security implementations. -Available on call 24x7x365 for emergency issues -Excellent business professional oral and written communication skills, required -Adherent to all Federal and Local Safety laws -CompTIA NET+ and Sec+ are a plus but not required. -Functional knowledge of server, network, and infrastructure technology, required -Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues, management, outside contractors, and customers, required -Working knowledge of Cisco/Meraki switching and wireless. -Physically able lift 50+ lbs.
