Tasks

-Work alongside parts clerk and manager to follow up on all parts requests in CMMS on a regular basis. Order parts in a timely manner. Consult maintenance manager if requested parts are $5,000.00 or more prior to initiating PO request. -Participate with reliability team on improvement projects particularly associated with proactive maintenance plans (PdM/PM). -Provide manger/supervisor with KPI’s from CMMS o Other duties as assigned. -Schedule work in consultation with maintenance manager/supervisor, ensure parts/equipment availability for the work. Coordinate priorities set by management team with input from Production and maintenance. -Use SAP as required for contracting services -Commence Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) training to enhance knowledge and background in Maintenance Planning and Management. -Monitor preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, include on the WO backlog. Generate corrective WOs from PM work orders. -Obtain, analyze and file all PM documentation, findings, oil analysis, thermal scans, vibration analysis, manuals, procedures, permit documents, and initiating follow-up where required. -Employee will be required to wear protective eyewear, reflective safety clothing (i.e. safety vest) appropriate gloves, hearing protection, work boots, etc. -Communicate performance expectations, work details, and provide technical support for all contractor assigned work and verify work performed upon completion. -Inventory & Parts Management – ensure adequate parts for efficient operation of the plant. This includes: -Monitor incoming corrective maintenance work orders, generate Corrective WO backlog and sent list to maintenance manager/superintendent. -Troubleshooting/Diagnosis – Assess reported workplace issues and deviations following a structured approach. Ensure that decisions are made based on policies, rules and organizational directives and solving the emerging problems. -Once work is done, ensure all work orders are accurately closed out in CMMS. Communicate with trades on ideas and procedures that would make future jobs more efficient and document in the work history. -Maintain the Parts Board for critical parts (not all parts can be displayed on the board) -Work alongside parts clerk to maintain all storage areas in a well-organized manner, well labelled to easily identify parts. This includes storage racking outside the maintenance shop. -Physical work is expected 100% of the time, which includes the use of cranes, forklifts and other equipment. -Implement and continuously improve a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the maintenance department -Consult reliability engineer and generate PM work orders for Shutdown maintenance, order parts and kit, and ensure any equipment needed for the work is available. -Coordinate Initiatives – Bring different subject matter experts together to share ideas, create action plans and coordinates task execution. Seeking to continuously improve the way we work and look for new and unique approaches and ideas to achieve better outcomes. -Interacts on a daily basis with Manager, operators, teammates, parts clerk, and other front-line leaders in the plant -Monitor the sign-out sheet in stores daily. Maintain the minimum parts for all parts (min/max inventory levels). Consult maintenance manager if parts are over $1000 in cost to restock.
