Tasks

-Ensure projects are set up for effective treatment management -Prepare reports and game plan for every month DOR -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Ensure projects are properly setup and supported to execute the safety program -Ensure corporate programs and standards are executed -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Promote and own the safety program -Accountable for incident management system data -Collaborate and communicate frequently with Construction Management teams. -Mentor and identify development needs for Project Safety employees -Collaborate with safety professionals across the organization -Ensure Project Safety employee is completing all their responsibilities -Follow any corporate, group or district protocols for incidents -Ensure proper root cause is identified and shared -Participate in interviewing and hiring safety professionals -Proactively go to projects to assess and work with the teams to improve -Conduct project site audits to review records, permits, field conditions, safe work practices, and assess employee knowledge of safety policies and procedures. -Provide feedback for how we can improve as an organization – ways we can simplify and become more efficient/effective -Lead safety business plan efforts for district

What You Bring

-At least Ten (10) years’ experience managing construction projects in an environmental health and safety related area specifically on energy/oil and gas related projects. -Regular, reliable attendance -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a safety program on projects of increasing complexity. -Knowledge of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)/OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury management skills. -CPR/First Aid, Emergency Medical Technician (EMTA) certification and OSHA/MSHA instructor certifications are preferred. -Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a safety related discipline. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred but not required.
