Tasks

-Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms. -Pour, level and smooth concrete for surfaces such as roads, curbs, sidewalks. -Aligning forms for sidewalks, curbs and gutters. -Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved. -Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete. -Seal joints, set string line. -Casting and spreading concrete to patch voids. -Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete. -Removing edges on expansion joints and sides. -Polishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools and surfacing machines. -Operate concrete saw, curb and/or paving machine.

What You Bring

-Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces. -Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours. -Physical ability - concrete finishers and laborers, stand long periods of time, bend and crouch to perform their job duties, all of which require physical ability. -Knowledge of working with concrete. -Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. -Practical skills to operate power tools and machinery. -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
