The Role
Overview
Operate civil/mechanical equipment on construction sites, following safety and project specs.

Tasks
-Equipment Maintenance - Ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and tools are properly accounted for, used for correct purpose and are maintained. -Practice safety rules. -Grasp and manipulate various hand tools daily. -Work and operate motorized equipment as well as safely perform procedures where carelessness would potentially result in injury. -Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift. -It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director. -Identify/distinguish colors and use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills. -Report to and assist immediate supervisor. -Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.

What You Bring
-Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy. -Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment, when required. -Work in an environment that is uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation or similar discomforts. -Loud noise from tools and machinery -Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement preferred. -Minimum 1-2 years related experience excavating near underground utilities. -Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company. -Mobilization and Demobilization - Ability to mobilize equipment being operated, including loading, unloading, securing, set up and tear down. -Ability to proofread and check documents for accuracy, as well as use a keyboard to enter and transform words or data. -Valid driver’s license required. -Standing for more than two hours at a time, as well twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and stooping regularly. -Follow verbal and written instructions. -Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc. -Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.) -Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.). -Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds daily, seldom over 50 pounds. -Humidity, rain, and other weather conditions -Must work well as part of a team. -Communicate orally as well as ability to hear and understand.
