The Role

Overview

Provide preventive and routine maintenance for property and units, with strong customer service.

Tasks

-Further oversight of the building’s curb appeal though building exterior inspections, cleaning, and grounds maintenance is required -Responsible for common area and apartment repairs (routine and preventative) in the scope of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, wall repairs, painting, plumbing and appliances -Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems -Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries -Will be required to be in an on-call rotation with other employees for emergency work orders

What You Bring

-Able to lift up to 50 lbs -Able to stand and walk inside and outside in all weather -Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, drywall, painting, and snow removal -Able to attend team meetings, workshops and training sessions as required -Customer service and attention to detail are critical skills to ensure the satisfaction of the community’s residents -Able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing (ladders), kneeling, crawling and prolonged standing -Experience working in maintenance in an apartment community -Must have reliable transportation for on-call emergencies
