Tasks

-Monitoring work to ensure it meets Qualico’s standards and all building and safety code requirements. -Working in a supporting role with the Site Superintendent overseeing the construction process for single family homes, duplexes and townhomes; -Completing a wide variety of hands on construction tasks and assisting in monitoring home production, quality control, and site issues. -Creating trusting and successful working relationships. -Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring all employees and trades work in a safe manner and follow Qualico’s Safety program and relevant safety legislation. -Completing residential construction work such as: carpentry, drywall, paint, cleaning and site maintenance, and deficiency repairs. -A leader; you develop and improve the skills of others through effective coaching and guidance. -Taking responsibility for the outcomes of decisions and actions.

What You Bring

-Own trade tools and equipment. -Comfortable with smart phone technology including email, calendar scheduling, and basic app usage (company-issued cell phone is provided). -A creative thinker; you identify new ideas, techniques and opportunities to improve performance and productivity. -A creative problem solver; you think outside the box for solutions without fear of failure. -High School diploma, or equivalent. -Satisfactory verification of criminal record check. -Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), and construction management software (BuildPro, NewStar etc.). -Recent experience in residential construction or the trades is preferred. -Valid driver’s licence and vehicle (truck preferred and a vehicle allowance provided). -Understanding of construction processes and procedures. -A strong communicator; you clearly express your thoughts in conversation and in written communication. -Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
