Senior geotechnical consultant providing tunnel/dam expertise on a part‑time, on‑call basis.

Tasks

-Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or senior reviewer by providing tunnel engineering expertise and technical oversight for projects with varying size and complexity. -Support the development of engineering proposals and qualification statements. -Assist in development of technical and quality initiatives. -Collaborate with peers in offices across the U.S. and across various technical disciplines to achieve project goals. Other disciplines may include geotechnical, civil, structural, hydraulic, and mechanical engineers, and geologists, environmental scientists, and construction personnel. -Mentor junior and mid-level staff. -Provide analysis/design guidance and review of design calculations, engineering analyses, and technical reports.

What You Bring

-Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in CA -Attention to detail and well-organized. -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. -Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check. -Ability to work independently or as part of a team. -Excellent oral and written communication skills. -Experience with common computer-aided analysis and modeling programs applicable to civil engineering dam and water resource projects. -Demonstrated expertise and experience related to tunnel planning, design, and construction, including industry-recognized leadership in geotechnical investigations, risk evaluations, design-build delivery, and engineering services during construction for major dam, water, wastewater, and transportation infrastructure. -Bachelor's or master’s Civil Engineering with at least 25 years of professional experience. -A strong work ethic and the desire to perform professionally at a high level.
