Authorities Liaison Architect

Tasks

-Ensure the operational standards are understood and maintained by Architects within your design team. -Prepare and obtain NOC's and building permits for projects, coordinate with colleagues to prepare drawings and apply changes to drawings up to regulations and comments required. -Ensure design input and submissions are completed within agreed deadlines. -Ensure all designs are in accordance with the relevant standards and approved relevant local authority regulations. -Ensure constant liaison with the following: -Solving and handling comments from authorities, providing the technical opinion and advice. -Prior to DM submission ensure cover sheet must be signed and stamped by the client and all NOC required by DM are complete. -Ensure every issue of drawings or submissions are correct and collated in order. -Assist the Project Director or Senior Authorities Liaison assigning resources for submission activities. -Prepare the local authority submissions in accordance with the relevant local authority requirements. -Coordination or all design drawings for submissions to local authorities. -Ensure all local authority submissions are monitored to obtain approval for all Consultant submissions at the earliest. -Collate MEP, Structural and other Sub-Contractors information as required for submission. -If slippage is likely to occur notify the Practice Manager immediately and agree a revised programme. -Provide up to date knowledge of all local authority regulations. -Ensure to have a constant communication with assigned project teams. Written and telephone correspondence is essential to addressed or answer queries. -Work closely and motivate the project team in order to have a pleasant and productive working relation. -Create and manage the Record Copy of the Authority submission drawings in an A3 vertical folder with respective issue register indicating the purpose of submission.
