Overview
Oversee end‑to‑end meter data flow, ensure quality, lead analysts, bridge Ops & IT

Tasks
-Collaborate with IT and metering partners to implement system or process improvements that improve reliability and reduce downtime. -Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate manual tasks, and strengthen data controls. -Oversee daily MDM operations to ensure accurate and complete data collection from field meters through to billing systems. -Manage and continuously improve workflows for data validation, exception handling, and performance monitoring. -Lead the team in using meter data to support customer service teams in resolving inquiries (e.g., high consumption complaints, data anomalies). -Analyze consumption patterns and data gaps to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. -Ensure compliance with Measurement Canada and other applicable regulatory requirements related to metering accuracy, reverification, and audit traceability. -Develop and report operational KPIs related to data quality, network reliability, and billing readiness. -Coordinate with IT and vendors to resolve technical or system issues impacting data acquisition or integrity. -Provide actionable insights that support decision-making across Operations, Customer Care, and Billing teams. -Serve as the escalation point for metering data discrepancies, communication failures, or irregular consumption patterns. -Lead and develop a high-performing team of data analysts and specialists. -Promote cross-functional collaboration and clear communication between Operations, IT, and Customer Care. -Implement and enhance quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. -Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. -We provide consistent, clear communication, ensuring transparency at every stage of the project.

What You Bring
-Proficient in data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Excel) and techniques for working with large, complex datasets to investigate discrepancies, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights. -Knowledge of energy management or demand response programs. -Ability to interpret technical concepts (Power/water consumption, networks, gateways, MDM systems) and communicate effectively with IT teams. -TTC accessible -Experience with Meter Data Management (MDM) platforms or related utility data systems. -Exposure to advanced metering infrastructure (AMI/AMR) and IoT device networks. -Strong communication and influence skills, with the ability to translate complex technical or data insights into clear, actionable messages for stakeholders and senior leadership. -6+ years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Data engineering roles in operations data-driven operational roles. -Proficiency in using data to investigate and resolve operational or customer issues. SQL proficiency would be ideal. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using reporting and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.). -Proven leadership ability to manage and coach teams, prioritize workloads, and deliver results. -Familiarity with submetering systems and technologies (electric, water, gas, thermal). -Understanding of how operational data is collected, transmitted, and validated, and how it feeds downstream systems (e.g., billing, analytics). -Solid understanding of data quality management and performance monitoring processes
