The Role

Overview

Lead and manage concrete crews, overseeing planning, safety, quality and schedule.

Tasks

-May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis -Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas. -Must set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity for the members of his/her crew. -Maintain a safe and clean work environment and assure that high quality work is always being performed. -Will lift, push, or pull objects up to 50lbs. on an occasional basis -Assure all foreman and crew evaluations/performance agreements are conducted. -Assure the accuracy of all time sheets, quantity, and productivity reports. -May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors. -Conduct and/or participate in all safety, quality, production, and planning meetings. -Champion and promote a Continuous Improvement culture with all members of the crew(s). -Maintain and monitor the 6- and 1-week schedules, coordinate with the master schedule and be actively engaged in developing and executing work packages and task plans. -Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. -Maintain positive working relationships with client and superintendent. -Adhere to and support all company policies, procedures and “The Sundt Way” regarding the work and people you supervise. -Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis -Provide appropriate coaching and mentoring for crew members to help them be the best they can be.

What You Bring

-Must have a minimum of five years’ (level I) and six-plus years’ (level II) experience in the relevant construction market and an in-depth understanding of the trade(s) being supervised. -Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures -Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. -May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis -Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions. -Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
