The Role

Overview

Oversee electrical MEP work, coordinate schedules, resolve field issues, and ensure project execution.

Tasks

-Review and understand contract documents -Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules -Collaborate with project partner superintendents -Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work -Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment -Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies -Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service -Review construction documents for completeness and constructability -Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule -Develop a site logistics plan

What You Bring

-Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level -Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills -Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies -Minimum 15 years of construction experience -Minimum 10 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor -Current driver’s license -Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices -Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans and their intended use -Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects -(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) -Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks -Associate or bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience -Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
