Tasks

-Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. -Provide technical guidance throughout the design process, often serving as the senior reviewer of calculations and structural models. -Field work and overnight travel may be required . -Assisting and Training Early and Mid-Career professionals with CAD coordination and plan development f or particularly unique challenges while serving as the Task/Project manager, maintaining control of the design process throughout. -Structural value engineering, third party design and constructability review, and risk assessment. -Provide quality control of construction documents.

What You Bring

-Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural). (preferred) -Professional registration as a Structural Engineer (S.E.) (preferred) -Knowledge of design collaboration software (Bluebeam Studio), and operation of CAD/VDC/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.). (preferred) -Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.). (required) -Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H-1B visa lottery and employment based green card sponsorship are not available for this position. -Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred) -Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required . -Experience working within the construction sector or performing design work for contractors/construction managers. (preferred) -The ability to sit for the NCEES 20-Hour Structural Engineering exam within two years of hire. (preferred) -Knowledge of general numerical modeling tools. (preferred) -At least 8 years (10+ preferred) directly relevant experience in a design environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) -Be able to serve as Engineer of Record. -Experience in the design and detailing of steel connections and reinforced concrete. (required) -Experience in repair/retrofit design of concrete and steel structures. (required) -Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, and meeting strict deadlines. (required) -Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) -Knowledge of relevant structural engineering design and detailing software (RISA, ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, SAFE, GSA, etc.) (required) -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural engineering focus. (required)
