Confirm adherence to construction specifications during each phase of a project.
Assist the senior project civil engineer in preparing the conceptual, preliminary and final design and contribute toward client project meetings.
Provide CAD input to engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Assess potential construction sites, check existing structures for upgrades, and create drawings and schematics of projects using computeraided design (CAD) software.
Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments and serve as a liaison between senior engineer and design team.
Assist senior engineers/designers in providing CAD input to assist with developing and managing the project scope including cost estimates, budget, staffing and schedule.
Provide CAD input to monitoring project progress and verify calculations and placements. Assist with inspection of construction sites from time to time with supervision from senior civil engineers.
Perform broad, varied and diverse engineering design tasks on assigned projects under general supervision of the lead or manager, including engineering drawings and providing CAD input to engineering reports and presentations undertaken by engineers.
Engage in the development of design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats, and prepare and revise documentation in various civil phases including site plans, utility plan/profiles, grading plans, cross sections, diagrams, submittal reviews and response to information requests as required.

Professional Memberships
Navisworks/Infraworks experience will be an advantage.
Have a solutionsbased approach to projects along with an aptitude to resourcefulness.
Associate Degree in Engineering (Civil) or similar with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Civil 3D experience highly desired, however 12D and similar civil design package experience are acceptable (with willingness to learn/use Civil 3D).
Minimum intermediate level AutoCAD experience.
Experience in water infrastructure design/drafting will be an advantage.
