Create and review roof and floor structural designs using MiTek SE software.

Tasks

-Collaborate with outside sales personnel and customers to accurately complete, safe and quality roof amd floor structures. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and sit and occasionally required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Assures stability, deflection and load carries in a manner that will meet or surpass codes associated with each project. -Follow quality control procedures for completeness, accuracy, and code compliance for the implementation of design standards. -Develop and complete design details from original concept drawings and prepare layouts. -Review design(s) for most efficient and profitable use of inventory, equipment, and labor as time permits. -Writes technical descriptions specifying material qualities and properties. -Draws rough sketches or arranges for finished drawings or photographs to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequence. -Confers with client, technical staff, and other Design Services personnel, and prepares design modifications as required.

-Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. -Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations. -The employee is regularly required to use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). -Proficiency in MiTek SE software. -Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community. -Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
