Tasks

-Plan, execute, and analyze experiments involving electrochemical, chemical, and physical characterization. -Translate lab-scale discoveries into scalable processes by collaborating with internal and external partners. -Lead R&D efforts on electrolyte formulation and metal-electrode development for next-generation energy-storage technologies. -Investigate reaction mechanisms, kinetics, and thermodynamic behavior of electrolyte and electrode materials. -Prepare technical reports, documentation, and support intellectual-property development. -Conduct benchtop and prototype testing; analyze performance data and summarize findings for stakeholders. -Mentor junior scientists and contribute to a strong, safety-focused lab culture.

What You Bring

⚠️ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. -Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline with 10+ years of relevant industry experience. (Academic industry does not apply) -Advanced knowledge of electrochemistry, reaction kinetics, and thermodynamics. -Experience developing electrolytes or metal-based battery electrode materials. -PhD with a focus on electrochemical energy storage, fuel-cell systems, or related areas. -Strong communication and project-management skills; able to work independently in a fast-moving environment. -Hands-on proficiency with analytical and electroanalytical tools (e.g., ICP-MS/OES, XRD, Raman, EIS, galvanostatic/potentiostatic methods, rheology). -Experience in aqueous metal electrochemistry (asset but not required).
