Tasks
As a Utility Management Specialist, you will deliver high-impact solutions across five core service areas: Organizational Health & Resilience, Economic & Financial Services, Asset Management, Technology & Business Intelligence, Public Outreach & Communication -Diagnosing client needs and developing strategic, customized solutions. -Preparing polished client proposals and presentations. -Contributing to pursuit development, project scoping, and in time leading pursuits as a Pursuit Manager. -Leading client interactions and coordinating with engineering, planning, and science teams. -Supervising and mentoring junior UMS staff, while supporting quality assurance of deliverables. -Assisting with field assessments of infrastructure. -Designing and implementing utility management and asset management plans throughout their lifecycle. -Serving as Project Manager for UMS engagements. -Our work includes planning, design, and oversight of construction of environmental infrastructure - for water, wastewater, and stormwater management. -Building and maintaining management tools such as structured databases, interactive business intelligence platforms, and data visualization dashboards.

You will join our growing presence in the greater Denver area, helping build Trusted Advisor relationships and delivering high-caliber work that supports our mission of helping communities protect public health and the environment. As part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture, you’ll have the opportunity to shape business development and lead project delivery with autonomy and strong local support. Utility Management Specialist -Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, data science, or a related field required.Master’s degree / MBA preferred. -Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability. -Sound ethics and adherence to Hazen’s safety, quality, and professional standards. -Master’s degree / MBA preferred. -Hands-on experience with business intelligence and data tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, etc.). -7-12 years of relevant professional experience. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and experienced with database management tools such as Excel, Access, and SQL.
