ICC Special Inspector - Construction

Conduct site testing, observations, and inspections for construction projects.

Tasks

-Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks and complex assignments -Read and interpret plans and specifications -Utilize drawings, specifications and diagrams -Make detailed observations, give interpretation of results, maintain detailed documentation and data from test results -Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment and conduct soil and/or concrete testing and provide an assessment of data through reporting -Communicate effectively with client and project teams and attend project meetings

What You Bring

-Ability to work off shifts and overtime -2 years’ related inspection experience -Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound -Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance -ICC certifications in the following areas: Reinforced Concrete, Post Tensioned Concrete, Structural Masonry, and/or Structural Steel and Bolting -Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures -Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record -High School diploma or equivalent -Ability to kneel and squat occasionally -Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights -Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication -ICC certifications -Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
