Tasks

As the Principal Civil Engineer, you will have a variety of responsibilities such as leading and overseeing engineering design, preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, streamlining the production of deliverables, and preparing technical reports and proposals. You will ensure that technical adherence and quality assurance standards are met by managing the design team and providing them with guidance and supervision on all civil engineering deliverables. You will liaise directly with the Project Manager, Design Manager, and Client to provide regular project updates and prepare technically sound and well-written proposals and reports. Working within the Civil Engineering discipline group, you will provide civil engineering services to the Defence, Water, Transport, and Buildings markets. delivering projects including civil infrastructure, roads, rail, buildings civil, water infrastructure, and land developments.

What You Bring

During this exciting growth period, we have an opportunity for Principal Civil Engineers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering a wide range of civil infrastructure projects and will be familiar, in particular, with civil engineering design for building civil works, defence, and civil infrastructure projects. -Familiarity with relevant standards and design guidelines to the civil engineering discipline. -Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance. -CPEng preferred. -Experience working in a broad range of infrastructure projects within a multi-disciplinary environment. -A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -The ability to obtain chartership within a reasonable agreed time frame. -Extensive experience working within an engineering consulting environment. -Previous experience in Civil Infrastructure for projects in one or more of the defence, building civil, and transport sectors is essential in the role. -Practical knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety.
