Lead electrical design and engineering for large grid projects.

Tasks

-Manage global time schedule of concerned engineering activities, check coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions activities (procurement, construction, commissioning) and organise follow up of critical activities of the project or of your discipline. -Plan and manage delivery time of technical interfaces with your work package, put in place exchange interface sheets with partners, customer, and third-party contractors. -Follow the engineering budget and identify potential savings and highlight to the Project Manager all instances requiring additional budget. -Responsible for issuing consolidation of provisional drawing list of the project or of your work package, integrating submission dates. -For large & complex projects support Project Engineering Director and Project I&I manager in the engineering change management. -Prepare or review technical specifications and supplier’s documents to enable procurement of materials and plant detailed design. -Analyse customer technical requirements, prepare and or consolidate clause by clause analysis and ensure compliance to Customer requirements through Technical Queries, identify, track, manage potential change. -Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including Partner documents. -Represent customer interests in the design decisions at Project Manager’s request. -Ensure that Management of return status of project documentation internal or external (approved, comments, resubmit, rejected) is performed for your work package. -Validate design throughout customer acceptance. -Manage scope or design changes & prepare related claims and VO to be approved by Project Engineering Director or Project Manager. -Lead & coordinate design teams – you’ll be supported by Primary, Secondary and Civil Designers. -Check effectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimisation in all design phase and mainly during basic design. -Participate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to the EMH procedures and per the project strategy.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of the Transmission or Distribution industry is essential. -Knowledge of Renewable Energy systems is beneficial. -Engineering degree level or equivalent education/experience -Knowledge of GIS systems is beneficial. -Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills are advantageous. -Experience of Engineering activities as lead engineer in EPC type environment. -Successful experience in project technical management in a multi-disciplinary team’s context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries. -Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
