Assist safety manager with construction safety tasks and gain field experience.

Tasks
-Assist the project team in conducting project safety audits. -Gain knowledge of the company Safety & Health Program. -Assist in the development and review of Activity Hazard Analysis. -Learn applicable safety and health regulations as well as ways for effective company implementation. -Assist the Project Superintendent in the project site-specific safety orientation and other safety training. -Perform periodic inspections such as fire extinguishers, ladders, first aid kits, etc. -Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer. -Stooping - Bending the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist. -Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements. -Assist the project team with accident and/or near miss investigations. -Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas. -The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity.

What You Bring
-Physical Exam (if applicable) -Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite. -Attend awareness level safety courses and other construction related courses. -Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc. -Balancing - Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and to walk, stand or crouch. -Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate. -Strong communication skills. -Background Checks for Badging/Security Clearances (if applicable) -Verification of Work Authorization and Employment Eligibility -Pursuing a 4-year degree in Occupational Safety & Health (preferred). -Climbing - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps at various heights. -Frequently exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. -Become familiar with the construction process. -Be visible in the field for safety observations.
