Engineer for municipal/transportation projects focusing on road and utility design.

Tasks
The individual will have the opportunity to work on projects varying in scope and size related to roadways and highway infrastructure design, including grading and drainage, roadside safety, geometric design, flood protection, stormwater management, storm drainage systems, watermain and sewer design and intersection design and utility coordination. -Contributing to reports, drawings, and other engineering documents -Collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and budgets -Assisting in project management, including budget tracking and client communication -Prepare tender and contract documents, including specifications, quantities, and construction estimates. -Mentoring junior engineers and technologists as needed -Participating in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design -Preparing designs for municipal road reconstructions, water/sewer systems, site grading, and stormwater management -Supporting business development initiatives -Communicating with clients, consultants, and contractors under supervision -Providing engineering and technical expertise on multi-disciplinary projects

What You Bring
RVA is seeking an Intermediate Municipal/Transportation Engineer in our London office to work on a variety of challenging projects. -5-7 years of experience in municipal/transportation design engineering, with some consulting experience preferred -Good technical writing and communication skills -University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution -Experience in meeting project timelines and budgets -P.Eng., or eligibility for registration in Ontario -Ability to develop positive relationships with staff and clients -Ability to work effectively in a team environment
