  • Complete relevant online courses – Building Automation and HVAC Courses such as:
  • Fan systems; air handling unit systems; variable volume, constant volume
  • Fluent in English – both written and oral. The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.
  • Complete Schneider University Courses: BAS and Control 1 through 8.
  • Learn and demonstrate thorough understanding of Ainsworth’s H&S Policy.
  • Pass security screening as required by Ainsworth’s clients.
  • Four-year college/university degree, two-year/three-year post-secondary engineering technology or applied science program, and/or equivalent trade/field experience and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
  • Shows willingness to learn HVAC, DDC and pneumatic fundamentals, as well as Schneider Electric BAS product portfolio as implemented by Ainsworth.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Visio or Script programming software.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be willingness to work in an office environment and to keep work area clean and tidy; light physical duties may be assigned
