Overview

Install and wire DDC HVAC control systems, conduit, and components per NEC.

Tasks

-Fosters relationships with customers and team members. -Direct and work with helpers as required -All Automation Install Mechanics typically load and unload materials for projects and move these materials into place at the job site. This may involve carrying a load in tight and difficult situations and on uneven terrain. -Communicate to team members including creation of daily log daily -Coordinate with other trades -Attend job meetings when required -Complete work order and change order forms when necessary -Maintain the expected safety level -Maintain company vehicle and company supplied tools -Assure quality of installation with maximum efficiency -Creation of as-built drawings -Accurately lay out and install conduit and control wiring per NEC, control drawings, and company standards. -Assist in purchasing of necessary installation materials -Constant communication with installation supervisor about job status and needs

What You Bring

-Ability to install electrical conduit. -Thorough understanding of plans, specifications, and submittals. -Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring schematics, and control drawings -Good organizational and planning skills. -Through understanding of product submittals and wiring diagrams. -Good verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to stand, bend, and kneel when needed -Good problem-solving skills (striving for win-win). -Comfortable climbing ladders and working from scissor lifts at heights. -Understanding of local codes. -Thorough understanding of installation tools, techniques, and devices. -Understands and executes “completion”. -Ability to install copper piping to support instrumentation. -All candidates for this position should be reasonably physically fit and capable of picking up a 50 lb. tool, piece of equipment or piece of material and moving it about either on a jobsite, at a vendor, our warehouse, etc. -Familiar with the safe operation and capable of using hammer type drills and similar tools. (familiar with safe operation of required tools) -Thorough understanding of control submittal packages. -Command of the technical language involved with automation and mechanical systems.
