Tasks
Brady West LA and Elljay are looking for a shared Accounting Manger. This position will support all financial accounting and reporting activities, and is responsible for the internal financial reporting requirements, design, and effectiveness of internal controls to support compliance with all GAAP and regulatory requirements. -Supporting the Unit President by developing strategic priorities and delivering results across all departments to ensure accounting and financial processes and reports are accurate, while identifying risks and proactively resolving potential gaps. -Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate assigned direct reports. -Working collaboratively with all departments to analyze financial and accounting data. -Attend and participate in all required company training programs. -Supporting and promoting business initiatives and providing guidance and oversight on accounting and financial matters. -Managing the Job Start and Closing process. -Supervise timely preparation of Sales and Use tax filing. -Managing accounts payables, accounts receivables, collections, local banking, and cash transactions. -Preparing Month End reports for management review and submittals. -Preparation for Sales and Use tax returns. -Develop an annual department and individual Plans of Action with goals consistent with Unit Plan of Action, company strategic initiatives and profit objectives. -Participate in company Focus Groups. -Coordinate the preparation of monthly financial statements and related reporting. -Supervising Front Desk Operations Assistant. -Assisting Payroll Clerk with inquiries and audit -Develop department training programs for personnel. -Monitor/approve all unit journal entries affecting the general ledger. -Coordinating the preparation of monthly contract billings; and maintaining lien rights and coordinating conditional or unconditional waivers. -Supporting facilities management and office operation tasks. -Ensuring all financial statements and related reports are prepared in compliance with company policy and state and federal regulations. -Conform to all company policies and procedures. -Completing monthly journal entries and closing of the general ledger and financial statements. -Inputting and maintaining Contract Management systems as it relates to change orders, T&M tickets, and contract price.

What You Bring
-Crosstrain in all department tasks. -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proven history of managing multiple projects and processes. -Deep knowledge and understanding of financial budgeting and project forecasting. -Cascade effective and proficient communications to supervisors, co-workers, and direct reports. -B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred), or comparable work experience required. -Bilingual preferred but not required. -5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the Construction industry. -Advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel) and Accounting Software, preferably Penta. -Proven experience managing accounting and financial processes. -Strong financial analysis skillset, with a focus on adding value to the business.
