Tasks

-Responsible for ensuring the correct analysis is performed on all samples received into the laboratory -Responsible for receipt of and proper logging in of all samples received into the laboratory -Input and review data entry from the bench sheets to the Laboratory Information Management System (currently Element) -Perform field work as necessary -Responsible for running routine and non-routine, specialized microbiological analyses -Assists MLT III to ensure that the QA/QC task schedule is completed as necessary -Ensures that proper Quality Control/Quality Assurance tests are performed on all analyses for the day -Prepare media necessary for various analyses in the laboratory -Interface with clients -Work with MLT III and LD to order supplies necessary for the day to day running of the laboratory

What You Bring

-This lab will relocate to our North Kingstown location within 2-4 months or so*****. -Strong interpersonal skills -Must have a valid US drivers license without recent incident. -2 years’ experience in a microbiology laboratory performing various environmental analyses -An Associate’s degree in a related field -Correctly utilizes all QC/QA documentation/logbooks -Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship -Good customer service skills -Also must be able to tolerate unpleasant odors -Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English. -Must be able to perform light lifting and light housekeeping duties. -Some computer proficiency
