Tasks

-Perform engineering investigations for system updates and upgrades, review field survey data and engineering designs. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Promote an inclusive culture that values equity, diverse perspectives, and career growth. -Provide training to field and engineering teams on construction practices. -Utilize telecom-specific pole analysis tools such as SPIDA Calc, QuickPole, and PLS-CADD. -Conduct constructability reviews for fiber networks in collaboration with the engineering team. -Review and advise on telecom easement rights, permitting requirements, and joint-use facilities. -Arrange and carry out inspections of joint-use facilities within the scope of work. -Make technical recommendations related to telecom distribution systems. -Assist in the creation and review of the bill of materials. -Prepare and report job estimates, including instruction orders and activity breakdowns, factoring in structures, spans, soil types, components, and field conditions.

What You Bring

-Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint). -Post-secondary education in Civil, Electrical, or a related discipline; telecommunications focus is an asset. -Valid provincial driver’s license in good standing. -2+ years of experience coordinating telecom (FTTH/OSP/ISP) or other utility projects, including design coordination, permitting, or construction administration. -Able to perform in a fast-paced environment; repetitive data entry and prolonged sedentary positioning may be required. -Working knowledge of AutoCAD and ESRI/GIS is considered an asset. -Experience with telecom BOMs, splice schedules, microduct design standards, and as-built closeout documentation. -Familiarity with municipal permitting workflows and document control best practices. -Exposure to standardized telecom templates and workflows.
