Entry-level field engineer managing schedule, coordination, and documentation for a large tunnel project.

Tasks

-Coordinate with subcontractors on advance material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables -Develop and assist with obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements. -Manage and submit project close-out in coordination with the client and third parties -Review project plans and develops a construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities. -Monitor and participate daily in field construction process. Provides layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements. Obtains confirmations from design engineer as needed -Develop quality checks and coordinate permits from appropriate entities -Assist in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issue tracking and resolution. Provides accurate and factual assessments of project performance. -Assist with subcontract administration and permanent material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFI's, and performance records; Maintains accurate payment records. -Participate in change orders and claims management -Identify and resolves changing site conditions or other impacts during planning of the work -Prepare, update, and distribute work activity schedules/updates, and communicates across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times. -Prepare construction work plan packages and coordinate pre-construction meetings while ensuring that all prerequisites to start construction activities are identified and completed.

What You Bring

-NO STAFFING AGENCY CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION*** -Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or similar, from an accredited institution -Project controls techniques (i.e. cost accounting, basic estimating, forecasting, and contracts) -Strong organizational and time management skills. -Strong work ethic - Highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right. -Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and Primavera P6. -Heavy Civil construction experience preferred -Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies. -The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. -Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA Requirements. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Experience with AutoCAD -A strong working knowledge of the critical path method and resource scheduling. -Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future***
