The Role

Overview

Manual labour for railway track maintenance across Queensland.

Tasks

-Carry out labouring duties, ensuring track safety is maintained and other duties as directed by the supervisor when required -Travel and perform outdoor work (including flood repair and other emergency work) throughout the region, often in challenging weather conditions and high temperatures Work a 9-day fortnight which may consist of 7 days and 2 nights. You will be required to work weekends and public holidays depending on when your shifts fall -Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently

What You Bring

-Uniform, tools to perform your duties and training including Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure provided -Front-end loader, excavator, skid steer, truck licence, or other licences / tickets are desirable -Recent experience in a manual handling or physical labouring role -Flexibility to work and travel across the district and work weekends -Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team -Trackworker or welding experience is advantageous
