Overview

Tasks

-Communicates with General Contractors, Supervisors, and other trades on frequent basis regarding the progress and coordination of the project to ensure the most efficient installation of electrical equipment possible -Communicates with Foremen, Journeymen and Apprentices to help remove roadblocks -Studies and evaluates blueprints and spec book as well as tracking project changes and as-builds -Oversees project Foremen and provides guidance and leadership for their development -Orders material to be delivered to jobsite to ensure installations are completed on time -Assists the Project Manager with financials as needed -Provides instruction to Journeymen and Apprentices regarding assignments and obtains progress feedback -Completes required subordinate evaluations and provides timely and appropriate feedback -Be involved in all job-related contractor meetings -Manages and leads crews on projects from $3.5M to $5.5M -Reviews and accounts for QA/QC and installations to current NEC compliance -Ensures crew compliance with policies and holds them accountable for performance -Ensures that all safety training is completed and properly documented -Identifies and implements all prefab opportunities -Reviews and accounts for project tasking and reporting -Mentors and trains direct reports, identifying potential future leaders with HR. -Oversees a team of two or more supervisors and manages a workforce of 15-35 employees -Keeps Project Manager and Operations leadership informed of all changes or impacts to project

What You Bring

-OSHA 30 Certification and current First Aid/CPR Certification -Excellent verbal and written communication skills, assertive problem-solving ability, and adherence to professional conduct in addressing issues with appropriate parties -Extensive experience in wiring systems, all phases of project installation, electrical control work, troubleshooting, and purchasing of electrical material and parts -Able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overhead -Able to get to customer job sites -Knowledge of current NEC and industry-related practices, including area classifications -Able to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overhead -Ability to manage and understand project budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager -Possess good vision (normal or corrected) -Effective time management skills, adaptability to different project sizes, and availability for overtime or irregular business hours as needed -Proven quality electrician installation and mechanical abilities -Ten years of documented work in electrical construction -Ability to supervise, evaluate and develop Supervisors, Foremen, Journeymen and Apprentices -Demonstrated understanding of Field Superintendent duties, responsibilities, and expectations based on the size and type of construction project -Hold current Journeyman or Master Electrician license -Completed two or more projects from start-up to completion as a Foreman or any level of Supervisor -Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areas -Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered) -Able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics -Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
