Traffic/ITS Engineer performing analysis, design, and ITS projects for AECOM.

Tasks

-Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentation -Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards -Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects. -Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. -Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities -Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants -Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation -Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. -Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.

What You Bring

-Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license in 6 months -Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work. -Good written and verbal communication skills -Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design. -BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms. -Preferred minimum 5 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards and projects. -Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required.
