Overview

Design and analyze structural components for aircraft doors using NX and FEM.

Tasks

-Work with composite primary and secondary structure design, and high-temperature material forming. -Guide the definition of structural architecture by identifying and proposing advanced technology. -Design complex kinematic solutions and support design through trade studies, concept development, and interface development. -Create and execute Detail Finite Element Models (DFEM) for testing. -Support conceptual design work by creating simple working Finite Element Models (FEM). -Create, manage, and run Global Finite Element Models (GFEM) for the stress team. -Utilize extensive experience in space vehicle design to guide engineers.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in NX part design, assembly design, surface-wireframe, and composites workbench. -Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). -Knowledge of various material forms and processes for conceptual design trade studies. -Experience in using NX for designing aircraft structures. -Ability to work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. -Experience in wing, fuselage, vertical tail, air vehicle door, and stringer/frames/clips design. -Experience in executing trade studies for design solutions considering weight, cost, and schedule constraints.
