Tasks

-Follow client and company field protocols to guarantee survey data accuracy across a wide range of specifications and project types. -Coordinate daily with Project Managers and Land Surveyors to set project goals, track survey progress, and quickly resolve field challenges. -Traveling on a regular basis to project sites located throughout Pennsylvania and New York. -Lead and mentor field survey staff, fostering high performance and continuous skill development. -Maintain organized field notes, sketches, and survey control documentation aligned with project standards and regulatory requirements. -Perform control checks, traverse angle closures, and level run validations before submitting data for processing. -Collaborate across departments (engineering, GIS, planning) to ensure survey deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines. -Ensure survey crew safety through hands-on training, daily Tailgate Safety Meetings, and enforcement of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). -Track and document crew timesheets, vehicle use, and equipment condition to optimize daily operations. -Collect, verify, and process survey field data using proper naming conventions to ensure clean transitions to office teams. -Engage with dynamic groups such as the Community Impact and Fun Committees, Fisher Minds (ERG), and the Employee Advisory Group.

-Professional performance standards aligned with Fisher’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values. -Highly adaptable and proactive in meeting deliverables and deadlines -Experience with data collection survey equipment including Leica GPS, Scanning and Total Station systems highly preferred. -High School Diploma or GED required -Ability to sit, stand, walk and transverse uneven grounds -Demonstrated high-quality work and ability to problem solve applying critical thinking, and sound judgment to challenges. -Able to work in physically challenging outdoor situations in all types of weather. -Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time. -3 plus years of experience as a Party Chief -Must possess a valid driver’s license and drive a company vehicle. -You excel in the field, leading crews and solving challenges outdoors — your expertise drives results where it matters most. -You thrive in a culture that celebrates fun and fosters a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere, so you can bring the best of yourself to work every day. -Associate’s Degree of applied Science in Surveying, Geomatics or related degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
