Senior Principal Designer - BIM

Overview

Design and manage BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting services in MEP projects.

Tasks

-Space Planning of HVAC Equipment’s. -Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements or CAD drafting from project Leads -Complete printing and plotting requests -Assemble composite design models for coordination meetings -Use checklists set-up for quality control on each project and submit work according to deadlines. -Provide an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis -Coordinate BIM file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals. -Create Revit families blocks. -Ensures compliance with the approved BIM Execution Plan and BIM Scope Plans -Facilitate use of composite design models in design coordination/clash detection meetings and provides detection reports by the identification and resolution of all hard and soft collisions -Sizing of HVAC ducts and Pipe along with routing. -Provide BIM modeling and design support -Modelling of HVAC Services includes Ducting and Piping. -Coordinate and manage Revit models -Review all work for completeness and accuracy -Modelling of Plumbing and Fire Fighting Service. -Setting up project base files

What You Bring

-Understanding of MEP Systems -Experience working with Middle East region is an added advantage. -Experience on Hospitality (Malls, Hotels, Residential, High Rise Building, Mixed Use projects) Healthcare and will be an added advantage -Years of BIM experience on complex ME projects -Demonstrate proactive approach to learning of new digital design tools -Familiarity with Design Visualization applications such as Autodesk 360 (Cloud Rendering), Revizto, 3D Studio Max and Navisworks. -Familiarity with ProjectWise, MicroStation Echo Sim 3D and Bluebeam Software’s. -Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and support to Revit project teams -Ability to adhere to deadlines. -Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands. -Co-ordination with other disciplines. -Domestic profiles can also be considered, they should have worked for Hotels, Entertainment, Airport and Data Center industries. -Expertise in BIM Tools and Add Ins for Automation. -Possess a strong work ethic. -Ability to articulately convey (verbally, visually, graphically) digital design concepts to design and delivery professionals with varying levels of understanding -Knowledge of, and proven practical background in, Autodesk Revit and related Building Information Modeling software
