Overview

Oversee scheduling, Earned Value, and project controls for rail transit projects.

Tasks

-Perform audits on various schedules including those produced by subcontractors, prepare all required output documents. -Hire, supervise, coach, develop and mentor project controls personnel (i.e. Project Planning and Scheduling Specialist, Lead, Planner / Scheduler.) -Oversee and support schedule 4D integration process with the 3D model and cost and report the outputs which includes cash flow and sequence simulations. -Provide input into the continuous improvement of Aecon's Project Controls policies and guidelines. -Develop and maintain all the required project schedules and ensure integrity of data across the entire project life cycle. -Prepare required progress reports and dashboards to provide project status updates to all internal and external clients. -Manage schedule change notices and forecast project impact. Implement corrective action when performance trends deviate from baseline. -Identify commercial/schedule risks and develops mitigation measures to ensure timely and high-quality planning and scheduling-related deliverables. -Overall responsibility for project's compliance to Aecon's Project Controls standards & applicable contract documents. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Implement & maintain an Earned Value Management plan to measure project performance, identify variances, and inform accurate forecasting. -Establish productivity basis to be utilized in estimates, as developed in concurrence with Construction. -Oversee and support project change management, including subcontractor claims, change requests, claims and dispute resolution. -Forecast the requirement of various resources including labor, materials, and equipment over the project based on work front’s analysis. -Ensure adherence to all contract conditions regarding Project Controls requirements, project set-up, monitoring & close-out. -Collaborate with all cross functional teams to maintain, add, or modify the schedule data and plans. -Provide commercial and technical expertise to support proposal development and provide commercial input into contractually defined project control requirements.

What You Bring

-Proven problem solver with sound judgment who accepts ownership and accountability. -Proven ability to effectively lead project planning and scheduling staff. -A minimum of 10 years rail transit industry experience focused on Scheduling or Project Controls. -Expert level knowledge of project Planning and Scheduling software which may include Primavera P6 & TILOS. -Understand Monte Carlo risk analysis process and contribute to Risk Mitigation Plan. -Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience. -Proven experience and ability in planning, scheduling and managing complex projects. -Strong knowledge of the “Earned Value Management” principles. -SAP, Hard Dollar, PowerBI, and Synchro knowledge will be an asset.
