The Role

Overview

Graduate engineer supporting water & wastewater design, modeling, and project work in Orange, CA.

Tasks

-Water and/or Wastewater treatment evaluation and design. -Pump station evaluation and design. -Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member -Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. -Sewer collection system evaluation and design. -Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are de- signed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. -Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP, and/or Revit. -Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

What You Bring

-Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset. -Familiarity with environmental regulations, resource recovery principles, and/or water quality modeling tools (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X, EPANET). -Water distribution system hydraulic modeling, analysis, and design. -Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. -We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States. Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H1-B visa holders in the United States. -Willingness and ability to occasionally travel to sites in the northeastern US and offices throughout the Northeast. -Bachelor's degree in in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related field + none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Stormwater modeling, analysis, and design. -Master's degree or pursuing a master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related field. -Internship or academic project experience in water/wastewater treatment design, environmental permitting, or sustainability.
