Overview

Oversee sheet metal field/shop ops, ensure quality, safety, schedule, and team management

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Support layout, duct measurements, and hands-on assistance when needed -Track material purchases and promote bulk buying strategies -Coordinate manpower, equipment deliveries, and material logistics -Collaborate with PMs on takeoffs, RFIs, submittals, and field feedback -Participate in preconstruction meetings and provide input on design and prefab -Enforce safety protocols and ensure PPE and documentation compliance -Monitor job progress, budgets, and scheduling with foremen -Manage tool and equipment use, storage, and returns -Administer company policies and monitor apprentice program compliance -Mentor crews, resolve personnel issues, and support recruitment and training -Conduct regular site visits; review scope, plans, and installation practices -Participate in Apprenticeship training and education -Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications

Requirements

-Journeyman Sheetmetal status -Valid Montana driver’s license -Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize, delegate and meet deadlines while working independently or as part of a team -3+ years in supervisory roles -High school diploma or GED -Ability to perform job duties in a safe manner -Strong leadership and communication skills -10+ years in commercial mechanical industry
