  • Contribute to conferences, industry bodies and standards committees to represent AkzoNobel’s technical leadership.
  • Participate in internal and external fire testing programmes to strengthen product positioning and understanding for standards development.
  • Build and develop key relationships with clients, project partners, technical bodies and standard committees.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive process or product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues globally to promote a complete solutions based approach to passive fire protection.
  • Support and advise projects embarking on fire design and specification.

  • Translate in-depth knowledge of PFP and CSP product performance into practical solutions for live projects.
  • High integrity, commitment to safety, and alignment with AkzoNobel’s core values.
  • Degree-qualified with continuous professional development (Chartered, Incorporated or Associate Scientist or Engineer via a recognised body).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of PFP systems and specifications, ideally with experience in steel design and fire dynamics.
  • Strong constraint breaking mindset with attention to detail and solution-focused approaches.
  • A passion for learning and becoming a recognised expert in passive fire protection.
  • Strong technical understanding of structures, fire protection systems and design.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with willingness to develop skills in technical applications (e.g., heat transfer models).
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence across multiple stakeholders across the globe.
