Tasks

-Collaborate with design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions -Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve favorable terms -Assist in the preparation of contract documents and procurement strategies -Provide input and support in the preparation and assessment of financial claims. -Implement, maintain, and monitor cost control procedures throughout the project lifecycle. -Prepare comprehensive tender documentation in line with project requirements. -Develop and analyze bills of quantities for tender documentation -Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs -Undertake quantity measurement for inclusion in cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities. -Conduct viability studies and develop detailed cost estimates. -Prepare detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities -Conduct market testing and analyse tender returns to support rate benchmarking and update the cost database. -Prepare, process, and negotiate change orders with clients and contractors to ensure timely and accurate execution of projects. -Evaluate variations, additions, and omissions, and incorporate findings into monthly cost reports. -Review and evaluate tender submissions from contractors

What You Bring

-Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines -Proficiency in cost estimation software / Cost X -Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in the UAE -Strong attention to detail and organizational skills -Minimum 3 years of experience in pre-contract quantity surveying, with a focus on infrastructure projects -Strong mathematical and analytical skills -Professional certification from a recognized quantity surveying body is advantageous (e.g., RICS) -Experience in preparing tender documents and contract administration -Proficiency in cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration. -In-depth knowledge of infrastructure project costing and budgeting -Familiarity with construction contracts and procurement processes -Excellent communication and negotiation skills -Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
