Tasks

-Ensure that all designs meet industry standards, local codes (e.g., IS codes), and project-specific specifications. -Review and approve vendor and contractor design submissions to ensure compliance with structural requirements. -Work closely with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate structural requirements for power plant systems. -Monitor project progress and ensure structural designs are completed on schedule and within budget. -Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams. -Perform structural analysis and design using software tools such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, etc. -Design and analyze structural components of thermal power plants, including foundations, turbine buildings, boiler structures, cooling towers, chimneys, and pipe racks. -Lead structural design coordination across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) for efficient project execution. -Develop structural drawings, calculation sheets, and design reports for various plant structures.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering. Structural engineer with Bachelors/Master’s degree in Civil/structural engineering from a reputed institute with more than 8 years of experience in basic engineering and detailed design of structures for large projects preferably power plants/nuclear power plants. Candidate should have worked in an engineering office or consultancy of repute performing relevant work. Candidate should have exposure to India, Euro, US and other foreign codes or standards. Candidate should have exposure to 3D model review tools such as Navisworks, ebrowser, Tekla etc. Candidate should be proficient in use of general purpose FE analysis packages such as Staad.Pro, SAP etc. Experience in ANSYS will have added advantage Minimum 8 years of experience in structural design for thermal power plants or large industrial infrastructure. Experience with supercritical/ultra-supercritical power plants is a plus. JD- Civil/Structural engineers - Manager / Senior Manager Proven expertise in structural design of heavy structures, including foundations, equipment supports, and buildings in thermal power projects. Strong proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000). In-depth knowledge of national/international design codes (IS, AISC, ACI, Eurocodes, etc.).
