The Role

Overview

Perform advanced HVAC system commissioning and troubleshooting in West Texas

Tasks

-Encouraging and collaborative team environment. -Performs assigned advanced system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. -Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. -Loads system-level controller software. Performs advanced commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e., sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation. By using JCI software like Connected Workflow Application (CWA) and Connected Workflow Dashboard (CWD), you will keep a record of the daily work you perform. -Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. -Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment. -Documents change and provide information for as built documentation. -Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. -Responds to basic warranty calls. -Communicates and organizes technical teams to perform assigned tasks. -Provide a Daily Task Report (DTR) to Lead System Specialists.

What You Bring

-Able to use hand and power tools (i.e., drills, saws, etc.) -3 years’ experience in HVAC and Building Automation Systems or equivalent associate degree. -Effective communication and listening skills. -Work Shift: 8:00 to 5:00 with 1-hour lunch. Depending on where the project is located, you will be required to travel on the West Texas Region and returning to your home town the same day. -Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems. -Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training.  High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. -Attention to detail. -Basic computer skills required. -Demonstrated technical aptitude.
