Electrical Design Engineer (Control Panels)

Overview

Design and produce manufacturing‑ready electrical control panel CAD drawings and BOMs.

Tasks

-Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production. -Collaborate with project managers and customers to clarify technical requirements. -Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are practical and easy to assemble. -Produce manufacturing and assembly drawings based on customer electrical schematics. -Support ongoing product improvements and cost-reduction initiatives. -Apply design for manufacture (DfM) principles to improve build efficiency and reduce complexity.

What You Bring

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering and production teams. -HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (degree desirable). -Ability to interpret customer schematics and create production-ready designs. -At least 3–5 years of relevant design experience within panel building or electrical manufacturing. -Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, panel layouts, and wiring methods. -Strong working knowledge of CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar). -Experience in electrical design for control panels, power panels, or related manufacturing environments.
